músico da nova safra da Musica Popular Paraense, é também um pesquisador dos ritmos do Pará. O seu trabalho anterior, o CD Etnomúsica, estava baseado em ritmos como o bangüê e o marambiré. Este novo CD esta mais centrado no carimbó e talvez isto explique o fato de ser um disco bastante percussivo. Além da música “carimbozinho” que abre o disco e apresenta um discurso incidental sobre a origem do carimbo, a segunda música “De Banjo na Mão” cita o Mestre Lucindo e a sua influência sobre a musica de Pedrinho, depois vem o belo canto “Ponto de Mariana” até chegar na “Ilha de Marajó” do Mestre Verequete.Pedrinho, além de compositor é também um ótimo letrista, apesar da música que dá título ao CD “Hum-Hum!...” ser uma parceria com o poeta Juracy Siqueira. O disco também tem as participações importantes de Lula Barbosa, Eudes Fraga e Mestre Curica.

Pedrinho Callado, a musician from the new wave of popular music from Pará state in the Amazon, also researches the musical styles of Pará. His previous work, the CD Etnomúsica, was based on styles such as bangüê and marambiré. This new CD is more centered around carimbó and this perhaps explains why the album is so percussive. Aside from the song “Carimbozinho” which opens the album and provides an incidental speech about carimbó’s origins, the second song “De Banjo na Mão” (With banjo in hand) cites Master Lucindo and his influence on Pedrinho’s music. Then comes the lovely song “Ponto de Mariana” and later “Ilha do Marajó” by Master Verequete. Pedrinho, aside from being a composer is also an excellent lyricist, even though the title track “Hum-Hum!” is a collaboration with the poet Juracy Siqueira. The album also has important guest participations by Lula Barbosa, Eudes Fraga, and Master Curica.
